Current Position:

I am Tammy Duncan and the Library Media Specialist at Prairie View Elementary in Enid, Oklahoma.  I’m entering my fourth year in the librarylibrarian.  Prior to education, I owned a cooking/kitchen business for 3 years and was a corporate trainer for 10 years across two different industries, non-profit/fundraising and financial planning.  I was fortunate to volunteer in the same library for one and half years prior to becoming the librarian.

Family Information:

I live in Enid with my husband, Vernon and our two children, Jessica (10) and Bryson (8), both attend the school where I work.  We are a military family with very active children that do gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, and music.  In my free time, that is very limited, I enjoy volunteering with the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, crocheting and crafts.

Personal Information:

Some of my favorite books as a child was Danny the Dinosaur. Although, I’m not a fan of dinosaur movies, I enjoyed the adventures the little boy and his pet dinosaur had.  As an older child, I remember reading over and over again Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go!  This book has been a part of every major event in my life and continues to be my all-time favorite book.
