Arrival

The first bell rings at 7:45. No students are allowed in the classroom or hallways until this time. If your child arrives at school before this time they will need to be in the cafeteria for breakfast or in the gym. The 8:00 bell begins our day and any student coming into class after that time will be sent to the office for a tardy slip.

Dismissal

Please make sure your child knows how he or she is to go home each day. For your child’s safety, a written notice or call to the office is required for any changes in transportation. If your child is going to be a car rider, even if only once during the year, you will need to get a number from me. 

CLASS COMMUNICATION

• Anytime your child has notes, money or  other papers to give  me, please remind him/her to give it toMrs. Wagner at the very beginning of the day.
• You will begin receiving class newsletters soon. Please read them as they are full of good information & reminders.

BACKPACKS:

Your child needs to bring a backpack every day labeled with his/her name. Please check your child’s folder daily. Do not allow your child to bring make-up, lipstick, cologne or important jewelry to school.  Keep ALL TOYS at home. I am not responsible for toys lost/taken at school. (This includes technology devices!) I do not go through the children’s backpacks to check for notes. Please help them to remember if they need to pass something along to me. 

Birthdays

Birthday snacks: As per school policy, we are NOT allowed to have special sweet treats for your child’s birthday. (i.e. cupcakes, cookies, etc.) 

Invitations

District policy does not allow birthday party invitations to be handed out on school property, even if you plan to invite the entire class. Please do not ask me to make exceptions to this policy. You will need to contact parents using the school’s parent directory or another way. Thank you.
