Meet Mr. Koepping
Mr. Koepping was born in San Diego, California. He moved in his 4th grade year to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he graduated from high school. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1985. He started his teaching career at Lahoma Public Schools as the Band director and music department. In 1991, he became the Assistant Jr. High and High School Principal at Lahoma. Starting in August of 1992, Mr. Koepping was a teaching principal in charge of grades K-3 for Cimarron Public Schools. In the fall of 1996, he became a principal for Enid Public Schools. He spent one year at Lincoln Elementary and then went to Coolidge Elementary where he spent 15 years. Mr. Koepping was highly honored and humbled to be named the first principal of Prairie View Elementary in January of 2012. Prairie View Elementary opened its doors August 22, 2012. Mr. Koepping is married to his lovely wife Cynthia, and has 2 daughters, Carolyn and Kristen and son-in-law Karl. Family is very much a priority to Mr. Koepping and that’s also how he sees the faculty and staff at Prairie View. He enjoys spending time with family, golf, fishing, Missouri State University Pride Band and athletics, technology, and Smartboards.
